Description:
The purpose of this Contract is to provide Cut and Toss Operations pursuant to a Governor s and/or Presidential Declaration of a State Emergency. This Contract includes Broward and Palm Beach counties within District Four. At the discretion of the Department, work can be assigned in the additional counties of Indian River, Martin, and St. Lucie. The Contractor shall perform Cut and Toss Operations pursuant to the terms of this Contract and at the direction of the Department within District Four on federal-aid highway segments, local roadways, private roadways, and other locations as determined by the Department. No quantities are guaranteed and there will be no unit cost adjustment for quantities required over or under the estimated quantities. REQUIRED SUBMITTALS: •The Contractor shall provide a letter to the Department at the time of bid, from a surety authorized to do business in the State of Florida verifying the Contractor is bondable in the State of Florida. For the purposes of this Contract the dollar amount is established at $1,000,000.00. •Form 575-060-13 Non-collusion Declaration and Compliance with 49 CFR &29 This contract will be awarded based on the total amount of $0 (zero) dollars and not the contractor s bid total. Additional funds will be added to the contract as needed. The Department may award one or more contracts for this project. AWARDED CONTRACTOR(S) MUST: •Provide Commercial General Liability Insurance, the limits of coverage shall not be less than $1,000,000 for each occurrence and not less than a $5,000,000 annual general aggregate, inclusive of amounts provided by an umbrella or excess policy. Also need to provide Auto and worker s Compensation Insurance. •WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE PLEASE READ STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROAD AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION FY 2025-2026 (SECTION 7-13) FOR INSURANCE LIMITS
