The Contract will be awarded at the budget estimate amount. This Contract includes an option for renewal(s). THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING FOR THIS PROJECT AT 2:00 PM EST ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2025, AT THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, DISTRICT OFFICE, 719 SOUTH WOODLAND BLVD., DELAND, FL 32720. PROPOSALS (BIDDING DOCUMENTS) WILL BE ISSUED ONLY TO THE PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS WHO HAVE ATTENDED THE PRE-BID MEETING. PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ORDERING BIDDING DOCUMENTS PRIOR TO THE PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE GIVEN ACCESS TO DOWNLOAD THE BIDDING DOCUMENTS WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER THE PRE-BID MEETING. THOSE PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ORDERING THE DOCUMENTS AFTER THE PRE-BID MEETING WILL NEED TO CONTACT THE DISTRICT 5 CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATION OFFICE TO CONFIRM ATTENDANCE AND RECEIVE ACCESS TO DOWNLOAD THE BIDDING DOCUMENTS. PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE AT LEAST TWO WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE FOR OBTAINING BIDDING DOCUMENTS TO ALLOW TIME FOR PROCESSING. Intent: The work under this Contract consists of tree trimming & removal, power shearing, and ditch clearing of large vegetation on Department maintained roadways on an as-needed basis. Note: The quantities shown on the Bid Price Proposal are approximate and only represent estimated planned requirements based on historical or specific project needs. The Department does not guarantee any maximum or minimum quantity, any range of quantities, or the exact quantities shown for each bid item. The Departments estimated quantities and the Contractors bid price will be used to calculate a total bid amount. This total bid amount will then be used to determine the low bidder; however, actual payment under the awarded contract will be based on actual quantities completed. For this Contract in which specific sites are not identified at the time of letting, the Engineer will issue a Work Document. Work Documents will identify the location, description, amount of work to be accomplished, and the number of calendar days to complete the work.
