The proposed work is located at the Canada del Oro Wash crossing of the Catalina State Park main entrance road, adjacent to State Route 77 within Tucson, in Pima County. The project begins 2000 feet northeast of the Park entrance station, at the ford crossing of Canada del Oro Wash. The work consists of replacing the existing concrete ford crossing with a reinforced concrete slab bridge with a seven-span cast-in-place reinforced concrete closed frame structure. The work includes the reconstruction of the immediate entrance road approaches to match the new bridge section and connections to intersecting park roads. The work also includes channel grading and bank restoration work, as well as removing and stockpiling excess wash materials and other related work.
