Brazoria County will receive bids for Wild Peach Drainage Improvements-GLO Contract Number 20-065-118-C388 until 11:00 a.m. C.S.T. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 237 E. Locust Street, Suite 406. Bids must be addressed to: Brazoria County Purchasing Director Susan Serrano, CPPO, CPPB, 237 E. Locust Street, Suite 406, Angleton, TX 77515. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 a.m. C.S.T. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 237 E. Locust Street, Suite 406, Angleton, TX 77515. There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled for this project. Opening will be available via Zoom. Meeting link is available on the Project Details page in Bonfire under “Important Events”. Locust Street, Suite 406, Angleton, Texas 77515.A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000].The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the Brazoria County Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts and subcontracts in excess of $100,000.00.All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids.Brazoria County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Brazoria County for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.
