The City of San Marcos is soliciting sealed bids to be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Building 4, 630 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, TX 78666, as outlined below: Solicitation Number: IFB 224-007 Comanche Pump Station Improvements IFB Scope of Project: Includes but is not limited to upgrades to the Comanche Pump Station to increase the overall firm capacity from 1,800gpm to 3,500gpm by replacing four (4) existing pumps. The improvements will include modifications to the discharge piping, replacement of electrical and instrumentation equipment, weatherization improvements and replacement of existing generator with a larger unit. The estimated annual construction cost is $2,047,300. Project Manual, plans, addenda, bid tabulation, etc., available for download at www.sanmarcostx.gov/eprocurement. Bidders must submit a cashier’s check, certified check, or acceptable bidder’s bond with their bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted. A non-mandatory pre-bid video conference will be held on April 10, at 2:00 P.M., Local Time. Requests for access to video conference must be submitted to RShelton@sanmarcostx.gov at least 30 minutes prior to the pre-bid videoconference. Bids must be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Building 4, 630 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, TX 78666, no later than May 2, 2024, at 2:00 P.M., Local Time, and will be conducted via videoconferencing. Requests for access to the videoconference must be submitted to RShelton@sanmarcostx.gov at least 30 minutes prior to the bid opening. Award is scheduled for the July 2, 2024, City Council meeting at 6:00 p.m. or any subsequent time unless otherwise rescheduled. Questions must be submitted in writing to the City of San Marcos Purchasing and Contracting Division only at rshelton@sanmarcostx.gov. Please reference the solicitation number when corresponding.
