Description:
Haines Hwy Reconstruction MP 20-25- Construction Administration Services Professional services during construction will include office engineering and inspection. The consultant will provide staff as needed to supplement construction engineering personnel assigned to the project to facilitate preparation of progress estimates, documenting the project in AASHTOWare Project (AWP), change documents, formal correspondence, inspection, testing, and project closeout. Incremental services for reasons not fully under Department control include adding staff or extended duration due to project schedule, contractor working hours, multiple shifts, and construction delays. These services are required because the Department does not have sufficient personnel available to fully staff the project due to the number of active projects in the region, high vacancy rates and turnover, the size and complexity of this project, and the recent resignation of one of the assigned staff. The addition of consultant provided personnel to the DOT&PF construction engineering team assigned to the project is necessary to fulfill the Department?s obligations for stewardship of state and federal funds by ensuring the work conforms to the plans, specifications, state and federal law prior to accepting completed work and making progress payment.
