Kinchen has nearly 35 years of experience working for self-perform national and international contractors, leading multidisciplinary teams on water, wastewater, and other critical infrastructure projects. Most recently, Kinchen has been serving as Regional Director for Construction Projects, based in Dallas-Fort Worth, where he will continue to be located.
Among recent career highlights, Kinchen has served as Project Director for the Northwest Wichita Water Facility, a new $500-million, 120 million-gallon-per-day water treatment facility that incorporated a progressive design-build project delivery approach to save Wichita millions of dollars off initial estimates.
“Dave is already an incredible asset to our team and will now leverage his knowledge and experience with nearly every collaborative delivery method to better serve water and wastewater treatment customers across the country,” said Matt Ralston, Senior Vice President for Construction Operations at Burns & McDonnell.
“Communities and industries across the country are facing complex water infrastructure challenges. Growing demands for public and industrial supply and disposal, along with our country’s aged infrastructure, limited sustainability, and limited resiliency, have elevated the need for urgency to tackle these critical issues,” Kinchen said. “I am excited by this opportunity to lead our business and our project teams throughout America, focusing on collaborative project delivery approaches that result in the right solution for our clients’ current and future needs.”
