DALLAS, TX — Cadence McShane Construction Company has officially broken ground on the new Parkhill Middle School for long-time client Richardson Independent School District (RISD). Located on the site of the current Parkhill Junior High School in Dallas, Texas, the new school is part of RISD’s district-wide initiative to transform its remaining junior high schools serving grades seven and eight into middle schools serving grades six through eight.
“Richardson ISD has been a valued client for more than two decades, and we are proud to partner with them on the construction of Parkhill Middle School,” said Wade Wimbish, Vice President of Education at Cadence McShane. “This project reflects the district’s commitment to investing in its students, and our team is dedicated to delivering a high-quality building that supports their academic success, collaboration, and growth.”
The three-story, 201,209-square-foot building will feature classrooms, collaborative learning spaces, administrative offices, a library, a cafeteria, competition gyms, and locker rooms. The building is being developed through a multi-phase construction program designed to maintain campus operations throughout construction.
Cadence McShane will also complete extensive site improvements, including a track, practice field, tennis courts, and a courtyard plaza, creating a comprehensive, modernized campus for students and the surrounding community.
