FORT WORTH, TX — Freese and Nichols, Inc., adds new Account Directors Liz Grindstaff in Austin and Juan Bujanos, PE, in Brownsville to expand the company's ability to provide business solutions for municipal clients in Central and West Texas and the Rio Grande Valley.

Grindstaff has more than 30 years of experience in planning, government relations, and management and has worked as both a senior city staff leader and an elected official. With her background, which includes serving as a San Angelo City Council Member and as Assistant City Manager, she has insights into how cities work, the challenges their leaders face, and the solutions they need.

Grindstaff has particular expertise in freight and passenger rail transportation, having worked for Texas-Pacifico Transportation and Texas Central Partners. She has proven skills for bringing multiple stakeholders together for successful completion of large, complex projects.

She has Master of Urban Planning and Bachelor of Environmental Design degrees from Texas A&M University.

Bujanos has more than two decades of experience leading water and wastewater infrastructure projects across South Texas. He has managed multimillion-dollar projects, overseeing all aspects, from planning, strategy, and design to inspection and post-construction work.

His 15 years with the Texas Water Development Board give him an understanding of the state funding process. And through his recent management role with the Brownsville Public Utilities Board, he is familiar with the perspective of utility owners.

Bujanos is a licensed Professional Engineer and received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

“With their experience seeing all the different sides of public works projects, Liz and Juan both bring us an understanding of our clients’ needs that you can only get from standing in their shoes,” said Alan Greer, Freese and Nichols’ Chief Business Development Officer for Infrastructure. “Juan is especially well-equipped to help our customers find the financial resources to achieve their goals.”
