Webber Awarded $301M SL-12 Reconstruction in Dallas
The contract includes reconstruction of existing Interchanges between State Loop 12, State Spur 482, State Highway 114 and 183. The project scope of work involves construction of 32 new bridges, walls and concrete pavement, widening of existing main lanes, and frontage roads. Additional work includes grading, subgrade stabilization, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, flatwork, signals, illumination, ITS, signing, pavement markings, landscape, and irrigation.
“Webber is excited to win this project; a project which will allow commuters an easier time navigating this area with improved connectivity and the ability to avoid the traffic congestion normally seen here during peak traffic times,” said Josh Goyne, President of Webber’s Heavy Civil Division.
The general project limits run SH 183 from Carl Road to Levee East of the SH 183 Split; Loop 12 from 1,900 feet south of Shady Grove to Texas Plaza Drive; SH 114 from Loop 12 Bridge to SH 183; and Spur 482 from SH 114 to the Western Levee. The project is scheduled to last about 48 months, beginning in fall 2020 with substantial completion expected in fall 2024.
