Skanska USA promotes Kimberly Burke and Steve Lyons

Dallas – Kimberly Burke and Steve Lyons have both been promoted to vice president of business development at Skanska USA. In their new roles, they will continue spearheading business development activities and sales and marketing efforts on behalf of Skanska USA, with Burke focusing on North Texas and Lyons focusing on Central Texas. They will be responsible for strategic growth and development through effective business community relationships, marketing and sales efforts.

Burke joined Skanska USA in July of 2013 as senior director of business development in Skanska USA’s Dallas office to spearhead firm growth and establish Skanska USA’s presence in the North Texas and Oklahoma regions. During her tenure in the position, she consecutively sold over $100 million each year and successfully pursued and penetrated new markets, acquiring a wide variety of new clients, including Saint Francis Hospital, Collin College and a high-profile public-private commercial development. She currently serves on the Downtown Fort Worth Inc. board of directors, the Association of Medical Facility Professionals sponsorship committee and is an essential member of the recently formed North Texas Healthcare Think Tank.

Lyons joined Skanska USA in 2014 as director of business development for Skanska USA’s Central and South Texas operations and was promoted to senior director of business development in 2016. During this time, he played a crucial role in building relationships and gaining new business for the San Antonio office, including the City of San Antonio, CHRISTUS Health, San Antonio Spurs, TCPN/ Buy Board and North East Independent School District. He is a board member of both the Brighton Center, and the Institute for Leadership in Capital. Lyons is also an active member of The San Antonio Chapter of Associated General Contractors, serving as a mentor to a local small business, and a member of the chapter’s charity golf committee.
