Vermeer Texas-Louisiana recently celebrated the opening of their new dealership in Weatherford, Texas, with the company now serving customers across 15 locations. Whit Perryman, CEO of Vermeer Texas-Louisiana, extended a welcome to friends and the Parker County Chamber of Commerce representatives who were on hand to officiate the ribbon cutting.

“We are excited to provide a closer touch point to our customers on the west side of Fort Worth,” Perryman said. “We also want to bring jobs and opportunities to the community.”

This new facility at 4030 W. Interstate 20 in Weatherford will also benefit customers in the Abilene region, according to Eric Dudley, Branch Manager of the new Weatherford location.

“Previously, Abilene area customers had to choose to travel to the dealership in Midland, more than two hours away, or even farther into the DFW metroplex,” he said. “Abilene is a halfway point between us, Midland and Lubbock stores, so customers have a choice on which direction they want to travel for service and parts.”

The most active markets currently in the Weatherford area are fiber optic installation; landscaping, particularly tree trimming along roadways; and underground water utility installation, according to Dudley. A new residential development site is in the early stages of construction nearby.

“All regions bring a different and sometimes challenging set of parameters,” Dudley said. “Some places are heavy into fiber installation, whereas others are pipeline or forestry. We try to provide the same quality service to everyone at all our locations.”

“The best-selling or most popular machines in this area are smaller type directional drills (like the D23x30DR and D24x40) designed for urban utility installation in tight job sites, brush chippers (like the BC1000XL), and vacuum excavator trailers (like our LP573XDT),” Dudley added.

Located on 5 acres directly off Interstate 20 at exit 403, the new location offers ample yard space for equipment inventory, has a fully equipped service repair facility, and ample parts storage.

“We hope the new location offers a convenient option for our customers working in the western half of the DFW market,” Dudley said.

Jason Andringa, President and CEO of Vermeer, traveled from the company’s headquarters in Pella, Iowa, to help the dealership celebrate the grand opening of the new location, along with another achievement.

“Having dealerships close to customers is important,” he said. “[But] our No. 1 [reason to visit] is to celebrate Vermeer Texas-Louisiana winning a Vermeer Pinnacle Award.”

The Pinnacle Award represents the highest honor bestowed upon Vermeer dealers worldwide. Vermeer Texas-Louisiana has won a Pinnacle Award for two years in a row. There are only four independent Vermeer dealers domestically who are recognized with the Pinnacle Award each year.

Also attending from the Vermeer corporate office, Zach Van Horn, Regional Manager for Vermeer Corporate, described the new line of equipment that debuted at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in March. This new line was designed for noise reduction with not only the operator in mind, but also for the surrounding neighborhoods. New integrated AI technology allows the operator to monitor efficiency and productivity throughout the operation.

The Parker County business community in north Texas has seen a great deal of growth over the past few years alongside growing residential developments. According to a Chamber of Commerce spokesperson, the Parker County Chamber of Commerce officiated in 87 new business ribbon cuttings/grand openings in 2025 and more than 90 in 2024 — mostly small local businesses. Parker County, which borders the west side of Fort Worth (Tarrant County) is part of one of the fastest growing regions in the nation.
