Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held at North Crowley High School Gymnasium

FORT WORTH, TX — Cadence McShane Construction Company (CMC) and Crowley Independent School District (Crowley ISD) held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly renovated and expanded gymnasium at North Crowley High School.

The ceremony included keynote speakers Michael D. McFarland – Superintendent of Schools, La Tonya Woodson-Mayfield – Crowley ISD Board Member, Charles Lincoln – Executive Director of Athletics for Crowley ISD and Tommy Brakel – Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. In attendance were team members from VLK Architects, Crowley ISD Board Members, Cadence McShane and the students and parents of North Crowley High School.

Designed by VLK Architects, the main gymnasium features new two-story bleachers, which doubled the gymnasium seating to 2,030 seats, and a seamless glass railing to prevent obstructed views. The gymnasium also features new flooring that incorporates the Fort Worth skyline.

Cadence McShane added 13,628 square feet of space to the main gymnasium and also provided a new weight room, which is located underneath the home-side bleachers and features equipment for North Crowley student athletes to utilize. Additional renovations included the expansion of the training room, coaches’ offices, locker rooms and competition gym.

Beyond the gymnasium, CMC expanded the existing theatre — adding 300 new seats — and completed a Fine Arts addition, which included new choir/ensemble/art rooms.

“Our team thoroughly enjoyed working with Crowley ISD on this exceptional project,” said Steve Butler, Senior Project Manager with Cadence McShane. “We are proud to be able to provide a state-of-the-art space for the current/future North Crowley High School students and student athletes.”

The North Crowley Panthers will continue their 2019-2020 basketball season in the newly renovated gymnasium.
