Webber Awarded $127M Project in Collin County, Texas

HOUSTON, TX — The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) awards Webber the $127-million contract for widening the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) from the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) to U.S. 380.

The project extends for approximately nine miles and will include the widening of the existing tollway from three lanes to four lanes in each direction. Some of the major construction work will include the widening on center medians, widening of 22 existing bridges structures, demolition and reconstruction of DNT overpass bridges and walls, construction of new ramps, and outside shoulder widenings. There will also be improvements in safety lighting, sign replacements, and landscape modification through the project corridor.

“Once completed, this project will add capacity and help traffic flow in congested areas of North Dallas,” said Webber Heavy Civil President Miguel Verde. “We are proud to be part of the DNT Improvement Projects Program that will facilitate a better connection between downtown Dallas and growing areas in Collin, Denton, and Grayson counties.”

The project is expected to last 40 months with a start date of September 1, 2022.

Webber is an American construction leader with specialties in heavy civil and waterworks.
