SEQUIN, TX — Archer Western joined Green Valley Special Utility District officials to celebrate the completed expansion of the Santa Clara Creek Water Reclamation Facility. The expansion project increased the plant's capacity from 0.25 million gallons per day (MGD) to 0.75 MGD to support the future growth in northeast San Antonio, Texas, and to provide reliable, sustainable, clean water.
The 0.5 MGD expansion includes Archer Western’s delivery of a new aerobic packaged wastewater treatment plan, pumping systems, and a lift station that will work together to treat wastewater more efficiently, improving water quality and ensuring clean, safe water is returned to the environment. The plant also features a new electric utility feed, switchgear and emergency generator, process treatment equipment, a new UV disinfection system, and a new non-potable water system to provide wash water for plant operations. Santa Clara Creek Water Reclamation Facility plays a critical role in northeast San Antonio's water management strategy and the area's capacity for water treatment.
