Webber Commercial Awarded Four New Projects
Alvin ISD
Webber was selected by Alvin ISD to build a two-story, 103,300-square-foot elementary school for about $20 million in Manvel, Texas. Construction has started and is scheduled to be completed by October 2020. Garth Hammett will serve as Project Manager with Stantec as the architect.
Fort Bend ISD
The new Meadow Elementary School project will replace the existing school at the same location with a 90,000-square-foot, $18.9-million facility in Meadows Place, Texas. The existing school has been demolished. The new school will consist of classrooms for Pre-K through 5th grade, administrative offices, gymnasium, cafeteria with food prep, art and music rooms, extended learning classrooms, library, outdoor classrooms and playgrounds. Justin Murphy will serve as the Project Manager with Gensler as the architect. Construction began in September and will complete by October 2020.
Webber was also selected by Fort Bend ISD for its $4.1-million Neill Elementary School classroom addition, which will accommodate 200 more students and include work area for teachers and staff in Richmond, Texas. The project scope includes, site work, site utilities, MEP additions, masonry, structural steel framing and interior finishes for a two-story addition of 12 classrooms. The updates also include addition of security features, such as card readers, video communication systems and facility cameras. Paving demolition has already begun and expected completion is June 2020. Vishnu Ramanath will serve as the Project Manager with PBK Architects designing the project.
New Braunfels ISD
Webber was selected to complete a district-wide, 15-campus security renovation for New Braunfels ISD for $5 million. Campus security renovations includes 249 access card readers, 18,200 square feet of security film, new fencing at New Braunfels Middle School, 325 cameras, new vestibule doors and frames to create barriers, in addition to new pipe bollards to deter unwanted vehicle intrusion. The team began work in July and will complete in January 2020. Fred Galvan and Tricia Daniel are serving as Project Managers with Stantec as the architect.
