DALLAS, TX — Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a national, family-owned construction management and contracting company, recently started construction on a new Government Center building in East Dallas, Texas. Located on 3.25 acres of land, the project will feature a two-story, 39,000-square-foot office building with extensive onsite and offsite improvements.
The East Dallas Government Center will accommodate several Dallas County departments, including the Constable, Juvenile Probation, Justice of the Peace Court, Passport and Facilities, as well as offices for District 1 Commissioner Theresa Daniel, Ph.D. The building is designed to enhance the county’s ability to deliver efficient services to residents and provide a modern working environment for county employees. The project is set for completion in summer 2026.
“Construction starting on the East Dallas Government Center is just the beginning of something that will serve Dallas County residents for years to come,” said Zack Rogers, Project Executive at Adolfson & Peterson Construction. “This facility will support essential county services and provide a modern, collaborative space for teams serving the community. We're honored to play a part in shaping a facility that will be a hub of progress and a reflection of our dedication to excellence.”
The project team is targeting a LEED Silver Certification and will have a solar energy installation capable of powering the entire facility. Additionally, the project team is aiming to achieve 50 percent participation from Small Business Enterprise and Historically Underutilized Business certified contractors and vendors.
“This groundbreaking marks more than just the beginning of construction of this project; it is the foundation of a long-term investment in the Pleasant Grove community," said Derrick Evers, CEO of Kaizen Development Group. "We are honored to partner with Dallas County on this transformative project, and we are proud to bring to life a facility that reflects both the county’s vision and the needs of its residents.”
