SAN ANTONIO , TX — Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a national construction management firm and general contractor, announces the contract award for the construction and renovation of Northside Independent School District’s (NISD) Marshall Law and Medical Services Magnet High School in San Antonio. This is the first project award for AP’s new Central Texas office.

The $22.1-million project includes an 80,000-square-foot addition to the main high school, adding a new magnet school for law and medical services, new soccer and softball fields, and a parking lot. In addition, the project will include renovations to the career and technology building and administration area. Established in 1949 by the consolidation of 12 rural school districts, NISD covers 355 square miles of urban landscape, suburban communities, and rural Texas hill country. The district is comprised of 120 public schools (including seven specialized magnet programs) with 7,648 teachers.

"We are extremely proud to be chosen by NISD to construct this unique and exciting project,” said Brandon Gaeke, CPC, Regional Manager, AP. “This is an exciting time to be in the Central Texas market, as we strive to make a lasting impression on the community at large while building strong relationships with our clients and the subcontractor community.”

As part of the project, AP will begin renovations and continue through the summer months while students are out of school. The project has an estimated completion date of November 2021. In addition, Pfluger Architects will serve as planning architect for the project.

Notable projects developed in Texas by AP include the new PGA Headquarters in Frisco, Texas, Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas, and several school district projects including Arlington ISD, Fort Worth ISD, and Garland High School in the DFW area.
