DENTON, TX — Denton County Friends of the Family received a $135,000 award from the Sundt Foundation North Texas Charity Golf Tournament. Denton County Friends of the Family provides programs for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.
Held at Trophy Club Country Club, this year’s sold-out tournament marked significant growth from the previous year, expanding from one course to two and welcoming approximately 280 golfers.
“The support we saw this year was incredible and speaks to how deeply our employee-owners and industry partners care about strengthening the communities where we live and work,” said Emily Dwosh, Sundt Foundation Executive Director and Sundt Community Relations Manager. “We’re proud to support Denton County Friends of the Family and the important work they do to provide safety, support, and hope for families across North Texas.”

Founded in 1980, Denton County Friends of the Family is the sole nonprofit agency in Denton County providing comprehensive services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and transitional housing support.
