Cotie joins the firm with a background in construction having previously served in multiple roles including Project Executive, Project Manager, Superintendent, Scheduler, and Estimator.
Prior to joining Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, Cotie worked for the Gilbane Building Company as Project Executive, most recently on the new construction and renovation project at Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Throughout her career, Cotie has been active in industry organizations such as the Associated General Contractors, ACE Mentoring Program, the Houston ISD School District, and the Penn State AE Advisory Board, and as such has established a network of local Houston clients, architect and engineering partners, and subcontractors.
“I am honored to have a career with which I can change the world, even if just for one person or animal; I am blessed to have worked on projects that have transformed communities and breathed life into areas and building that once were listless; and I am proud that I have successfully delivered every high profile job on time and on budget, never once having to ask an owner to compromise," Cotie said.
“I am excited that Angela chose to join our firm and help lead our local office in Houston," said James Anderson, President of Bartlett Cocke General Contractors. "Angela ... has also been a trailblazer for women in construction, serving as a founding member of the Associated General Contractors Women Who Wear Boots.”
“Angela will be a tremendous addition to our East Texas team," said Kevin Byrd, Senior Vice President of Operations for Bartlett Cocke General Contractors. "Angela brings the complete package, and not only is she extremely technically competent in construction operations, but she is also involved in the local construction industry and greater Houston community, serving as Chairman of the Board for ACE Mentor Houston, a Board Member for the Houston Area Parkinson’s Society, and a member of the Houston Independent School District CTE Chamber of Commerce.”
Cotie’s local project experience includes Moody Gardens Discovery Museum, City of Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport, American National Insurance Data Center, Houston Zoo African Forest Exhibits, and the Houston Astros Minute Maid Park.
Headquartered in San Antonio, Bartlett Cocke General Contractors has offices throughout Texas, including Austin, Baytown, Fort Worth, and Houston.
