AUSTIN, TX — Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a national, family-owned construction management and contracting company, was recently awarded the project to construct CapMetro’s North Base Demand Response Facility and Central Warehouse in Austin, Texas.
The development will include four facilities designed to support CapMetro’s administrative, maintenance, warehousing, and workforce training operations. The campus will feature a three-story administrative building with a community room and dedicated training area; a 16-bay maintenance garage; a service island for vehicle washing, cleaning, and fueling; and a 20,000-square-foot centralized warehouse with an adjacent training pad for storage, distribution, and workforce training.
“We’re proud to partner with CapMetro on this important project, which will strengthen the infrastructure supporting Austin’s growing transportation network,” said Tommy Meserole, General Manager of AP’s Central Texas operations. “Bringing administrative, maintenance, warehouse, and training functions together on one centralized campus will create a modern, efficient, and connected environment for CapMetro’s team, and we look forward to delivering a facility that will serve the organization and community for years to come.”
Construction is scheduled to begin this fall, with completion anticipated in September 2028. WSP, HOK, and MWM Design Group serve as project consultants.
