Lowery has more than 20 years of related experience, and started his career working for consulting firms on site and civil projects. For the last decade, Lowery has worked for an aerospace manufacturing company, where his focus shifted to environmental compliance on projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in agricultural engineering and a Master of Science in biological systems engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Lowery will report to Philip Forzley, PE.
“James has a really diverse engineering and environmental background, and has relationships locally in Maine that will help our office grow," Forzley said. "We already have a really solid site and community development team, and adding James to the group will allow us to pursue and develop a wider range of projects."
Lowery will work out of the firm’s Kennebunk, Maine, office, where he will focus on site development projects and coastal resilience projects in Southern Maine.
