HOLLISTON, MA — An electrical subcontractor throughout New England and the Southeast for nearly five decades, Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric) participated in service initiatives across each of its regional office locations this holiday season. As it has for many years, the company and its employees donated hundreds of toys and gifts for families in need and also supported several nonprofit organizations.
The New England region participated in the Holliston Pantry Shelf’s annual Mitten project. Employees purchased specific gift requests for children in the local community, such as games, clothing, toys, or gift cards. Griffin Electric also sponsored a pop-up shop with Sweet Inspirations, a nonprofit candy shop that provides vocational and employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The company’s Southeast regions, based in Pelham, Alabama; Doraville, Georgia; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; and Charlotte, North Carolina, each held donation drives for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Griffin employees at each office location, as well as at job sites throughout these regions, collected new and unwrapped toys for children 12 years and under in support of this program. The company also made donations to some of the many food pantries throughout New England and the Southeast.
At Griffin Electric, giving back to local communities is a year-round mentality. The company and its employees plan on participating in other charitable causes throughout the year.
