MANCHESTER, NH — The inaugural Northern New England Concrete Association Concrete Mixer Driver Competition recently took place, bringing together concrete mixer drivers from across the region to showcase their skills, precision, and expertise behind the wheel. The drivers competed for a grand prize of $1,000 and a trip to the National Mixer Driver Championship in Denver, Colorado, in October.
Organized by the Northern New England Concrete Association, in collaboration with local construction industry leaders, the competition aims to highlight the crucial role that concrete mixer drivers play in the construction sector. This event not only recognizes their dedication, but also provides a platform for drivers to demonstrate their proficiency in maneuvering large vehicles and handling concrete mixing operations efficiently.
- Skill Challenges: Participants navigated through a series of skill-based challenges that tested their driving precision, efficiency, and operational knowledge.
- Safety Emphasis: Drivers competed in a Pre-Trip Safety Inspection prior to entering the skills challenge course. Safety protocols were strictly adhered to throughout the competition, emphasizing the importance of safe driving practices in the construction industry.
