DERBY, CT — O&G Industries’ Building Group recently completed the construction of the Valley Transit District (VTD) Bus Maintenance and Storage Facility in Derby, Connecticut.
O&G was the general contractor for the project, which included improvements to the existing facility in Derby.  As a part of the project, a new 4,500-square-foot addition and a 3,500-square-foot wash bay for buses was constructed, enlarging the facility to 16,500 square feet. Existing administrative, maintenance and garage facilities were renovated-as-new.
This is the fourth major transportation facility project O&G completed for CT Transit in 2018. Other projects include the construction of the new CT Transit bus maintenance facility in Waterbury and replacement of bus lifts at their Hartford and Bridgeport facilities. Decarlo and Doll, Inc. of Meriden was the project architect for the Valley Transit District project, which was turned over in the fall of 2018.
