HOUSTON, TX — Sharon Valiante has joined planning, engineering, and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as Regional Business Manager. Based in the office in Houston, Texas, Valiante will oversee operations, performance, and profitability for LAN’s business activities. In this leadership role, she will focus on customer relationship management, client acquisition, and identifying future opportunities for market growth.
Valiante is a community development and public works professional with more than 40 years of experience managing municipal and public infrastructure projects. Her expertise includes public works operations, infrastructure planning, and management and municipal development. She has a track record in implementing capital improvement programs, fostering interdepartmental collaboration, and providing strategic guidance to support rapid urban growth. Most recently, Valiante served as the Public Works Director for the City of Fulshear.

Valiante’s focus was on construction management at the University of Houston. She is an active member of the American Public Works Association, the American Water Works Association, and the Texas Floodplain Management Association.
