DALLAS, TX — Dallas-based MYCON General Contractors, Inc. (MYCON) continues its partnership with North America’s largest do-it-yourself moving and self-storage operator, U-Haul, as it secures the seventh project with the client. The general contractor has started construction on the new three-building, 127,205-square-foot self-storage development in Denton, Texas.
“Our team is dedicated to constructing a premier facility that will address the growing storage needs of the Denton community,” said Jason Meuth, CRRP, MYCON Vice President. “This project exemplifies our commitment to quality and client satisfaction. We are thrilled to continue strengthening our relationship with U-Haul as we collaborate to bring this state-of-the-art development to life.”
The new U-Haul development will feature three buildings on a 5.89-acre site in the East Denton area: a 28,639-square-foot pre-engineered metal building for U-Box storage; a four-story, 98,512-square-foot self-storage building; and a single-story, 2,400-square-foot drive-up storage unit. Comprehensive site work will ensure an efficient construction process for the facility.
“Demand continues to rise for our self-storage products and mobility solutions in Denton and other growing communities across Texas,” said Matt Merrill, U-Haul Area District Vice President. “Our customers expect U-Haul to offer state-of-the-art retail, moving, and storage facilities where they can conduct business and securely stow their belongings. We will continue to validate that trust.”
Construction is estimated to be completed in March 2025.
