AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approves financial assistance totaling around $50 million for water and wastewater projects.

• $2.11 million to the City of Huntington (Angelina County) for a drinking water project
• $3.92 million to the City of New Summerfield (Cherokee County) for a drinking water project
• $7.17 million to the City of De Kalb (Bowie County) for a water system improvement project
• $2.5 million to the Brazosport Water Supply Corporation (Brazoria County) for a reservoir expansion project
• $3.45 million to the Hardin Water Supply Corporation (Liberty County) for a water system improvement project
• $27.28 million to the City of Hitchcock (Galveston County) for a wastewater system improvement project
• $300,000 to the Loma Alta Water Supply Corporation (Hale County) for a water system project
• $3.34 million to the City of Donna (Hidalgo County) for a wastewater system improvement project
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
