RICHARDSON, TX — The City of Richardson has entered into a partnership agreement with infrastructure consulting firm Halff to expand its largest firm-wide office and grow its workforce, enhancing full-service engineering and related services in Richardson. As part of this agreement, the city will assist with tenant improvements, contributing to Halff's significant investment in a new office to be located in the Galatyn Commons Office Park.
“There is a lot of competition in the DFW community to attract outstanding corporate citizens like Halff, and we are proud it continues to choose Richardson as its location for this significant investment,” Richardson City Manager Don Magner said. “We’ve put substantial effort into our economic development strategy to foster synergies in our local market, creating an ecosystem that promotes STEM and other high-skilled positions."
Galatyn Commons is in the heart of Richardson’s corporate community, focused on professional services and technology. It is in close proximity to hotels, the DART Light Rail Station, Central Expressway (U.S. 75), and President George Bush Turnpike (State Highway 190).
"This economic development partnership strengthens Halff's enduring legacy with the City of Richardson,” Halff President and CEO Jessica Baker Daily said. “For the past 17 years, we have proudly called Richardson home and look forward to many more. As infrastructure needs continue to grow across North Texas, we remain committed to leading these efforts with a large team officed in Richardson. Guided by the same people-focused approach established by Dr. Albert Halff nearly 75 years ago, we are dedicated to turning ideas into reality and improving the lives of the communities we serve."
Halff’s new largest office location will occupy 80,000 square feet of vacant office space at Galatyn Commons. Through the assistance of a tenant improvement agreement from the city, the company has committed to invest $10.8 million in the first year to support tenant improvements and costs related to furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Halff will remain in its current location until the end of 2025 while improvements are made to the Galatyn Commons location.
