SAN ANTONIO, TX — Jennifer Johnson joins planning, engineering, and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as a Program Manager for Higher Education.
Based in the San Antonio office, Johnson’s work supports LAN’s collaboration with the Alamo Colleges District. LAN is overseeing a renovation program that includes upgrades to 65 facilities located throughout the Alamo Colleges District. Johnson will be involved in reviewing and managing projects across a variety of building uses spanning the entire Alamo Colleges District facility portfolio.
“Jennifer’s experience in facilities management and architectural design is adding great value to the Alamo Colleges project," said JP Grom, Vice President at LAN. "As an architect, she’s got high-level skills to manage building layouts and renovations. She’s overseen multi-million-dollar renovation projects in higher education and health care facilities and is very skilled at managing teams and resources for large-scale programs.”
Johnson is a licensed architect with nearly 20 years of architectural, estimating, and construction project management experience. “At the Alamo Colleges, we’re upgrading mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems," Grom added. "Jennifer is very knowledgeable and has expertise in those areas, so she’ll be able to guide these projects from planning to completion.”
With a master's degree in architecture from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, Johnson is a licensed Architect in both Texas and Wisconsin and is certified through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Johnson’s additional designations include Project Management Professional, Certified Educational Facilities Professional, and OSHA 30 certification.
