Adolfson & Peterson Tops Out New Data Center in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, TX — Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) recently topped out a two-story data center for QTS. The 325,000-square-foot data center is located on QTS’s campus in north Fort Worth near State Highway 170 and Interstate 35W. The project is anticipated to be completed in summer 2025.

Leaders of QTS, AP, and other trade partners recently celebrated the topping out, marking the final steel beam being put in place and the construction midpoint. During the celebration, the project team signed the last steel beam, which will be positioned at the building’s front and exposed for everyone to see when they enter. Additionally, the pine tree procured for the topping out, typically placed on the beam for the raising, will be planted on site, while the flag that flew during the event will be framed and displayed in the completed building.

“As digital transformation accelerates across industries, the need for advanced infrastructure has never been more critical. Topping out this new data center brings QTS one step closer to addressing this rapidly growing demand for secure, scalable, and reliable data storage,” said Granger Hassman, Regional President of AP Gulf States. “The DFW metroplex is a great market for data centers. It is a great opportunity for AP to partner with QTS to build this new data center facility.”

Corgan served as architect for the project.
