DALLAS, TX — Walsh Construction joined the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs to celebrate the topping out of the new Long-Term Spinal Cord Injury (LTSCI) Facility at the Dallas VA Medical Center.
This milestone marks the completion of the building’s structural frame, an important step toward delivering the 172,000-square-foot facility that will provide long-term residential care, therapy, and rehabilitation services for veterans with spinal cord injuries.
The new LTSCI facility will connect to the existing acute spinal cord injury building and include 30 patient rooms, therapy spaces, and modern support areas designed to enhance comfort and independence. The project will also renovate a portion of the existing building, which will ultimately connect to the new facility. The center will improve access to care for North Texas veterans and is anticipated to be complete in 2027.
