HOUSTON, TX — Quincy Allen comes to BGE after 37 years with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) where he most recently served as a member of the TxDOT administration team.

As Director of District Operations, Allen provided oversight and direction of all 25 TxDOT districts. He assured the effective and efficient planning, design, construction, and maintenance activities of TxDOT transportation systems across the state of Texas. Allen spent much of his TxDOT career in Houston working on a number of projects, including the Johnson Ferry, the IH 45/North Houston Highway Improvement Project, and the recovery from Hurricane Harvey.

In his new leadership role with BGE, Allen will serve as a partner to the firm’s Transportation Systems and Construction Management departments in Texas to position BGE for strategic project opportunities. He will take a lead role in capture planning, as well as the implementation of those plans.

“We are very excited to have Quincy on board,” said Wes Jasek, Central Texas Region Operations Leader. “Quincy’s depth of knowledge and experience will help BGE be even more successful in securing strategic project opportunities in Houston and across Texas.”

Allen is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas. He received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
