Zetterstrom Joins LAN as Federal Program Manager

Zetterstrom joins LAN following a distinguished 26-year career with the U.S. Army in various leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District, a 420-employee district with a $1-billion annual program providing civil works, federal construction and environmental restoration across a 50,000-square-mile area.
During this assignment, he was responsible for federal water resources and environmental regulatory programs, including operations and maintenance, flood risk management, recreation and navigation in coastal Texas. He also supported federal and state disaster response and recovery and homeland defense operations in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
His previous assignments include: Laboratory Director for the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Chief of Staff for the U.S. Army Engineer School, Fort Leonard Wood; Garrison Commander for the U.S. Army Installation Management Command, Kaiserslautern, Germany; Engineer Planner for the U.S. Forces Command, Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan; Deputy Commander for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District; and Facilities and Construction Chief for all U.S. Army installations in Afghanistan.
Zetterstrom earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York, a Master of Science in civil/environmental engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and a Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, Carlisle, Penn. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Missouri.
Zetterstrom received the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal and Silver de Fluery Medal among many other awards and badges during his career in the U.S. Army.
