Farr Named Women's Transportation Seminar Greater DFW Chapter President
WTS is an international organization dedicated to building the future of transportation through the global advancement of women. Boasting thousands of members — both women and men — WTS is helping women find opportunity and recognition in the transportation industry.
"I'm truly honored to represent an organization focused on the professional development and advancement of women in the transportation industry," Farr said. "As our region continues to grow, it is more important than ever that we attract the best and brightest women to build the infrastructure needed to accommodate that growth. I look forward to continuing the legacy of excellence the Greater DFW Chapter of WTS has demonstrated over the last 28 years."
Farr currently oversees DART's roles in social issues including human trafficking, food insecurity, work force access and homelessness. She previously served as Local and Regional Relations Manager for six years where she worked closely with DART leadership and regional transit leaders.
In addition to being elected President of WTS - Greater DFW, Farr serves on the Board of Directors for the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce and After8toEducate, a nonprofit providing drop-in services and shelter for homeless Dallas Independent School District students.
