AUSTIN, TX — Cintra, a subsidiary of Ferrovial and a private-sector transportation infrastructure company with U.S. headquarters in Austin, Texas, announces that Alberto González Lalueza has been named CEO of Cintra’s U.S. region.

González will oversee the company’s $11 billion in U.S. investments including the LBJ Express; North Tarrant Express (NTE); NTE 35W in North Texas; I-77 Express Lanes in Charlotte, North Carolina; and I-66 Outside the Beltway Project in Northern Virginia; as well as the new phase of the NTE 35W redevelopment project, the 3C Project. The appointment of González to CEO of Cintra’s U.S. Region follows his predecessor, Andrés Sacristán, being promoted to Global CEO of Cintra.

“I am thrilled to take on this new role and look forward to leading Cintra’s U.S. operations and bringing innovations to bear at a time when infrastructure safety and development is of paramount importance to the U.S. and its economy,” González said.

González is a Civil Engineer who graduated from the Technical University of Madrid. He joined Ferrovial in May 2004 and has held various leadership positions at Cintra since then. Most recently, he was the CEO of Dallas Highways in Dallas, Texas. González will relocate to Cintra's U.S. headquarters in Austin, Texas.
