Outgoing 2022 AGC of Iowa President Dan Cramer welcomed and thanked all those attending. “The theme for this convention is appropriately ‘Our Centennial Celebration’. This convention and the opportunities presented will help you and your business prepare for future success,” Cramer said. “I — along with incoming President Tony Vieth — would like to welcome you to the 101st gathering of our industry.”
Among the many topics covered at the convention were “EEO/AA Compliance (Contractor Compliance)”, “Contractors and Engineers: Forging a Partnership”, “No Excuses - Breakthrough Fear and Adversity to Play a Bigger Game in Business and in Life”, and “Seven SEAL Team Timeless Principles”.
In addition to the guest speakers and seminars, attendees were also invited to attend the announcement of the AGC of Iowa’s Recognition of Safety Excellence Awards, Committee Meetings and Division Breakout Sessions, the Hospitality Rooms, the President’s Banquet, and the Iowa State Legislative Leaders Preview hosted by Scott Newhard, AGC of Iowa Vice President for Public Affairs.
The Michael J. Manatt Memorial AGC of Iowa PAC Auction was a highlight of convention. The AGC of Iowa's success at the statehouse starts with the PAC Auction, and the event raises money for the benefit of the construction industry.
