OMAHA, NE — LEO A DALY announces the groundbreaking of the OneWorld Career and Training Center, a new mixed-use development for OneWorld Community Health Centers. This 30,000-square-foot, three-story facility will provide services including child care, health care workforce training, and outpatient behavioral health.
A key highlight of this project is its commitment to sustainability. LEO A DALY’s design team has incorporated innovative and environmentally friendly solutions to ensure the facility’s long-term efficiency and minimal environmental impact. The project will feature a geothermal system for economical and sustainable heating and cooling, significantly reducing utility bills and maintenance costs for the nonprofit organization. Additionally, the building is designed to accommodate photovoltaic panels, allowing for future investments in renewable energy that align with OneWorld’s environmental goals.
The first floor will feature a child care center for infants through Pre-K, adorned with culturally significant artwork. This center will provide access to affordable child care for staff and the surrounding community, supporting working families and fostering early childhood development.
The second floor will house a workforce training center for health care occupations, with mock clinic and dental exam rooms, training classrooms, and a testing center. This initiative will provide professional development within the community, offering training and career advancement opportunities.
The third floor will focus on outpatient behavioral health services, with therapy offices and administrative spaces. By addressing the growing demand for behavioral health services, this facility will provide support to individuals and families, promoting mental health and well-being in the community.
