The ceremony included a rededication to Brigadier General Donald Penterman, a decorated World War II veteran from Elmwood, Nebraska, who went on to help shape NEARNG Readiness practices as well as Nebraska’s emergency telecommunication protocols.
“The new facility will enable Nebraska Army National Guard to ensure that healthy soldiers can keep completing missions for decades to come,” said Chris Rupert, LEO A DALY Market Sector Leader - Public & Institutional. “Collaboration over the past two years has been a privilege for our team.”
Penterman Readiness Center provides medical services to an Army-specific setting, ensuring mission readiness for more than 4,000 Nebraska Army National Guard soldiers. The design enhances the ability to compartmentalize services and manage the flow of traffic, directly increasing efficiency while ensuring strict adherence to all privacy, safety, and government regulations. With a high design priority placed on operational flow, the new facility can support 250 Periodic Health Assessments per day or about 25 soldiers per hour.
Inside the readiness center are resources for assessing cardiovascular health, hearing, dentistry, behavioral health, and vision. A collaborative planning process led to a smartly aligned building that alleviates bottlenecks while increasing services and capacity.
