Olsson Employees Earn Professional Engineer Certification

LINCOLN, NE — Olsson, an engineering and design firm, announces that some employees recently passed standard required exams and earned their Professional Engineer (PE) certifications. To become a PE, a person must complete four years of progressive experience under a licensed Professional Engineer and pass the certification exam.

The newest PEs at Olsson are:

Aaron Wiese is a member of Olsson’s Omaha General Civil team. He designs and manages development projects in and around Omaha. Wiese earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Aaron Boll works on various water resources projects in the Kansas City area and in Springfield, Missouri. Boll earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Alexa Metcalf is an Associate Structural Engineer on Olsson’s Lincoln Structural team, where she works primarily on architectural building projects. She earned bachelor’s degrees in design pre-architecture and civil engineering and a Master’s of Architecture degree from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

Brian Fairchild works on Olsson’s Kansas City Water Resources team in Overland Park, Kansas. Fairchild earned a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Kansas.

Cameron White works on commercial, residential, and data center land development project sites for Olsson’s General Civil team based in North Kansas City, Missouri. White graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Jacob Berry conducts traffic impact studies, develops signal timing plans, performs safety analyses, and designs traffic signals, signage, and pavement markings for Olsson’s Traffic team in the Kansas City area. Berry earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from St. Louis University and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri.

Josh Pudlowski conducts traffic impact studies; develops signal timing plans; designs traffic signals, signage, and pavement markings; designs, plans, and implements telecommunications projects; and works on street lighting designs for Olsson’s Traffic and Technology team based in Overland Park, Kansas. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Rockhurst University.

Kristen Stehl is a Structural Engineer on Olsson’s Roads and Bridges team based in Overland Park, Kansas. Stehl holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in structural engineering from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Michelle King works on Olsson’s North Kansas City Water/Wastewater team, where she manages and designs wastewater treatment and collection systems and water distribution and storage systems. She earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Nick Menefee works on geotechnical investigations and reports for private and commercial developments, utilities, roadways, earthen dams, and agricultural facilities as a member of Olsson’s Lincoln Field Operations team. Menefee earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Tom Schleisman is member of the Nebraska Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing team and specializes in designing plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and hydronic systems for buildings. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in aerospace engineering.

Mark Hanigan is the Team Leader for Olsson’s Nebraska Rail Bridge team based in Omaha, where he oversees railroad structures projects and staff, team financials, and project pursuit and execution. Hanigan earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in architectural engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Chris Volnek works on the Lincoln/Omaha Water Resources team and primarily conducts surveys, submits recommendations based on his findings, and obtains environmental permits for two of Olsson’s rail clients. Volnek earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Otto LaPointe is a member of Olsson’s Facilities Structural team and provides project management and structural design services on a variety of projects. LaPointe has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Austin Jueneman is responsible for project management and engineering design of overhead and underground transmission and distribution lines for Olsson’s Power Delivery team in Overland Park. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Kansas State University.

Rachel Fuchs specializes in designing roadways for Olsson’s Nebraska Roads and Bridges team. She earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
