Within a few years of establishing a brick-and-mortar presence in Kansas City, the full-service contractor is moving to a new office in Lenexa, Kansas — a facility more than double the size of its previous location. UPCO has also steadily expanded its workforce over the past two and a half years with the addition of a Lead Estimator, General Superintendent, Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Accountant, and 75 Field Staff with 16 Foremen.
David Murrell, Regional Director for The UP Companies, and his team are credited with establishing and growing Square UP, Power UP, and Hustle UP in the Kansas City metro area. All three divisions support commercial, warehouse/data centers, and health care projects for general contractors in Kansas City.

With work focused on health care, education, warehouse buildouts, and commercial tenant improvement, UPCO is reporting on-target, year-over-year growth. Some of the contractor’s current projects include eight metro Target renovations totaling more than $4 million, and recently awarded projects for PACE KC Swope Health, KCI Concessions, KIPP KC High School, and BioLife Plasma, with repeat clinical/surgery renovations at Saint Luke's Hospitals, Research Medical, and Olathe Health Systems.
