BOSSIER CITY, LA — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (Louisiana DOTD) announces that the $123 million I-20 major rehabilitation project in Bossier City, Louisiana, is in the final phase of construction, with the old outside travel lanes of the interstate now removed.
In addition to the removal of the outside lanes, the contractor has begun rebuilding those lanes, an ongoing operation taking place on the full length of the project from near Hamilton Road to Industrial Drive.
Other construction work includes extensive drainage improvements and replacement of numerous drainage structures throughout the project.
Currently, the Old Minden Road and Industrial Drive interchange ramps remain closed to allow for the reconstruction of the roadway at these locations. Both interchanges will soon be reopened in late April/early May once the outside lanes at these locations have been built.
The contractor will then shift to the next interchange for reconstruction, and additional information on those locations will be issued at that time.
