OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Flintco, in partnership with the Oklahoma State Fair, City of Oklahoma City, Populous, and the Oklahoma City metropolitan community, announces the opening of the new MAPS 4 OG&E Coliseum. This facility represents the culmination of years of collaborative efforts between public and private partners, all united by a shared vision to enhance Oklahoma City’s cultural and economic landscape. This facility will replace the Jim Norrick Arena, which has served the OKC Fairgrounds for 60 years.
“This project represents the spirit of collaboration that makes Oklahoma City special,” Flintco President Dave Kollmann said. “Building a facility to serve families, athletes, performers, and visitors for generations is exciting. We’re incredibly proud to have worked alongside the city and community stakeholders to deliver a venue that truly reflects Oklahoma City’s aspirations.”
The OG&E Coliseum is a multi-purpose venue capable of hosting equine events, including the American Quarter Horse Show and the Morgan Horse Show. It also hosts the Oklahoma Youth Expo, the State Fair of Oklahoma, and numerous youth sports events. The facility’s flexible design ensures it can adapt to the diverse needs of Oklahoma City’s growing population while providing an economic catalyst for the surrounding area.
