Mach was first appointed to the council in August 2019 by Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt. During her first term on the 12-member council, which provides recommendations to the Oklahoma Environmental Quality Board on rules governing the state’s water quality, Mach had the opportunity to be a voice in shaping the future of water in Oklahoma.
"Water is at the heart of everything — our homes, our communities, our families,” Mach said. “It’s such an honor to play a part in improving the quality of this resource which touches so many across the state of Oklahoma.”
In many respects, Mach’s work on the council is an extension of what she has done for well over a decade.
Working out of Garver’s Norman, Oklahoma, office, Mach leads a team of more than 20 professionals tasked with making sure that there is clean, safe water for generations to come. In addition to managing complex projects geared toward improving Oklahoma’s water infrastructure, Mach’s passions include advancing drinking water supplies security and water reuse applications.
