MMR completed a 15kv splice, of the LLDPE, performing a LOTO walk-down and verifying proper LOTO points. The entire crew was involved in the planning stages and every crew member understood and executed their tasks. As a result, there were zero safety mishaps.
MMR has consistently been recognized for its safe work practices throughout this project. In 2018 and 2019, MMR employees received the Sasol Silver Coin Award for safety, an award that recognizes individuals who demonstrate behaviors that sustain the vision of zero harm to employees and who strive for a zero incident project. Sasol management also commended MMR’s outstanding safety efforts by holding a luncheon for its MMR employees working on the MIC and Paga Projects.
MMR is performing electrical, instrumentation and start-up for Sasol’s Lake Charles Chemical Complex – Cracker and Derivatives Project. MMR’s scope of work has included ductbanks and manhole installations, finish assembly of 12 substations, high voltage cable installation and termination to eight substations, grounding, cable tray, cable and fiber optics, lighting systems along with Public Address and General Alarm and camera installations. With a contract value of over $320 million for MMR, the project has brought together 1,400 MMR employees logging approximately 4 million work-hours at its peak.
