LITTLE ROCK, AR — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Little Rock District recently named Tuan Dang as the 2025 Engineer of the Year.
The Engineer of the Year Award is the district’s highest honor given to a Department of the Army civilian, recognizing exceptional engineering achievements and contributions to the mission.
Dang, an Electrical Engineer and subject matter expert, was recognized for his leadership and technical excellence as the Technical Manager for the Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) Medical Sustainment and Restoration Program. In fiscal year 2024, he led the successful execution of more than $230 million in medical infrastructure projects that support more than 700 military hospitals and clinics worldwide.
In addition to his DHA role, Dang contributed to critical hydropower efforts, mentored junior engineers, and helped initiate and plan complex initiatives such as the Pine Bluff Arsenal Power Study and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis at the Veteran’s Administration in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
His service includes support across USACE districts and deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan with Forward Engineering Support Teams.
