MCALESTER, OK — The Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. (KSM) team recently celebrated the grand opening of its facility in McAlester, Oklahoma, the 11th location in its network of sales and service branches across a four-state region. The celebration included a ribbon-cutting event that featured representatives from KSM, McAlester community leaders and partners from heavy equipment manufacturers.
Guests were also invited to tour the facility and equipment yard and meet with representatives from the KSM team. The grand opening also featured a technician career fair and representatives from the Komatsu Advance Career Training Program at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology were in attendance to encourage community growth and local recruitment.
This facility provides new and existing customers in southeastern Oklahoma with a customer-focused heavy equipment dealership experience, including new and used equipment inventory for sale and rent, one of the largest parts inventories in the region and service in the shop and field. The McAlester branch will also improve coverage options for customers located between the heavy equipment distributor’s Tulsa and Dallas branches.
“We’re excited to be opening this new facility in McAlester and enjoyed celebrating with the community at our grand opening event yesterday,” said Branch Manager, Bruce Taylor. “We’re proud to be expanding our heavy equipment footprint in the Southeast Oklahoma area, while providing additional jobs in the community of McAlester.”
McAlester will carry the same manufacturing lines as its sister branches in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. KSM is the authorized dealer throughout Oklahoma for Komatsu earthmoving equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, dump trucks and motor graders. It is also the dealer for the Wirtgen Group line of roadbuilding equipment, Takeuchi compact equipment, Terramac crawler carriers and Manitowoc Cranes, including Grove and National Crane, among other manufacturers.
