LITTLE ROCK, AR — Jerry Halsey, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, was appointed to the Arkansas State Highway Commission by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Halsey fills the empty member seat following Chairman Alec Farmer completing his 10-year term.
“Jerry is an incredibly gifted businessman, a leader in Jonesboro, and most importantly, a great friend," Sanders said. "I know his experience in community development in Northeast Arkansas will lend itself to his new role on the Highway Commission, and I look forward to working with him to keep Arkansas the center of America’s road, river, and rail systems.”
“The work of the Arkansas State Highway Commission touches the lives [of] every Arkansan. We are excited about Mr. Halsey’s appointment and look forward to working with him,” Arkansas Department of Transportation Director Jared D. Wiley said.
Halsey is the Founder, CEO, and President of Halsey Thrasher Harpole Real Estate Group. He is a graduate of Arkansas State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in real estate and insurance.
He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Arkansas Real Estate Commission and a member of the Board of Directors for the Arkansas State Police Foundation.
