Balling joined Skanska in 2015 as Vice President, Account Manager and three years later, was promoted to Senior Vice President, Account Manager, responsible for all work in Virginia across multiple market sectors, as well as Skanska’s projects with Duke University and North Carolina State University. Before joining Skanska, Balling spent more than two decades with Lendlease, culminating as Senior Vice President and Principal-in Charge with oversight of the company’s upstate New York operations.

Current projects underway in the North Carolina/Virginia region include: UNC Hospitals’ 335,000-square-foot Surgical Tower; the renovation and expansion of the University of Virginia’s historic Alderman Library; the 287,850-square-foot Central Forensics Lab for the Commonwealth of Virginia; North Carolina State’s 145,000-square-foot Integrated Sciences Building; Virginia Tech’s 102,000-square-foot undergraduate Science Laboratory Building; and the geothermal central energy plant for Wake Technical Community College’s Eastern Wake 4.0 campus.
