Griffin Electric Supports Local Nonprofits and Gives Back to Families in Need

HOLLISTON, MA — It was a busy holiday season of giving back to local communities for Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric), which participated in an array of service-related initiatives across its Holliston, Massachusetts, headquarters and regional offices in Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina. An electrical subcontractor throughout New England and the Southeast for nearly five decades, Griffin Electric and its employees worked alongside several nonprofit organizations and donated a collection of toys, gifts, and assorted food items for local families in need.

The New England region kicked off its season of giving by hosting a breakfast food drive, collecting various non-perishable food items for donation to the Holliston Pantry Shelf. Team members partnered with the Pantry Shelf for its annual mitten project, helping local families in need by fulfilling specific gift requests for children of all ages. The company also welcomed Sweet Inspirations, a nonprofit candy shop that provides vocational and employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to its Holliston headquarters for a holiday-themed pop-up shop. Employees purchased assorted candies and other items in support of the organization, which makes several visits to Griffin Electric throughout the year.

The company’s Southeast teams based in Pelham, Alabama; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Doraville, Georgia, each held collection drives for the Toys for Tots program. Employees throughout these regions donated new and unwrapped gifts for children ages 12 and under in support of this initiative, which the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve has sponsored for almost 80 years. Members of the Georgia team also volunteered their time at the North Gwinnett Co-Op, a local resource that distributes food to nearly 40,000 people annually and provides financial assistance to those in need. The company’s Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, region held their own donation drive in December, collecting food and personal care items to benefit the Wake Forest Food Pantry.

In addition to these service initiatives, the company also made monetary donations to some of the many food pantries throughout New England and the Southeast, as it does annually.
